TODAY (Wednesday, February 7) is the last day for residents to take part in Hawkesbury Council’s town centres survey.
Since December, Council has been conducting surveys about what residents want to see in the Hawkesbury’s town centres of Windsor, South Windsor, Richmond, Pitt Town, Glossodia, Wilberforce, North Richmond, Kurrajong and Kurmond.
Director of city planning, Matthew Owens, said Council recognises the need to revitalise and enhance our town centres, and this is the purpose of the surveys.
“In order to ensure revitalisation plans and projects are reflective of community needs and aspirations, it is essential to gather measurable data from a range of sources to both understand the current position and the community’s ideal position with respect to its numerous town centres,” he said.
“This survey is like a ‘place census’ and will be used for multiple projects across the Hawkesbury, hence it is important that as many people as possible participate in the survey including residents, workers, business owners, students from the Hawkesbury, as well as visitors to the region.”
All participants go in the running to win one of five $100 vouchers. Go to www.placescore.org/hawkesbury.
