WINDSOR Bowling Club had a thrilling win while playing in the Zone 5 fours competition at the weekend, and will play a semi-finals match against Campbelltown City this weekend.
The team, made up of Stan Richards (skip), Andrew Ratcliffe, Charlie Wattle and Nathan Townsend, defeated a good Bowral outfit 23-19 on Sunday afternoon according to Windsor Bowling Club secretary and treasurer Neil Cant.
Cant said a great last end by Windsor secured the game, which made sure Windsor qualified for the finals to be held this weekend.
Bowral held four shots, while Windsor had a two shot lead, before Richards’ final shot sealed the win for Windsor and likely deflated their opponents after being in a great position.
The team will travel to Austral Bowling Club this weekend for a chance to get into the final match. If it wins the semi-final, it will play in the final on the same day.
