RICHMOND Golf Club will host part of the NSW Veterans Golf Association Stroke-Play Championships, when it happens in March.
Richmond will be one of three clubs to host rounds of the event, which is slated for March 26 to 28.
The competition field will be limited to 144 players.
Past winners Laurie Cupples (Leonay GC, 2017), Col Kenning (Kiama GC, 2010-12, 2015) and Greg Kent (Charlestown GC, 2013-14) have all committed to the event, whilst five-handicap player Sam Smale from Royal St Georges GC in England is also making a special trip to play in the event.
Richmond GC member Roy Benson won the B Grade Scratch event on Day Two of the 2017 event, before finishing the tournament in fifth spot overall in B Grade (15th in Nett).
Other Richmond GC players to finish highly-placed in 2017 were Keith Hudson (9th in C Grade Nett), Allen Davies (15th in C Grade Scratch), Chris Evans (12th in Age Division 2), Ken Powell (18th in Age Division 3).
