Local police said they will not tolerate anti social behavior following a string of alcohol fueled incidents across the Hawkesbury over the weekend.
Police said they attended incidents around Windsor, South Windsor, Bligh Park, Richmond and Kurrajong. These incidents were related to both domestic and personal violence assaults where the offenders were well affected by alcohol and/or drugs.
“Police want to make the community aware that leading in to the festive season that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated,” local police said.
“Friday, December 22, is the last working day before Christmas when end of year Christmas Parties are expected. Business owners are requested to encourage employees to drink responsibly.
“Hawkesbury Local Area Command will investigate any reports of violence involving alcohol or drugs in licensed premises, along with continuing to fully investigate domestic and personal violence matters. The offenders in these matters will be arrested and brought before the courts.
“Community members are reminded that CCTV is frequently available to Police, so any violent, offensive of unruly behaviour is available to Police in the course of their investigations.”
The community has also reminded that Police will be conducting traffic operations over the festive season, and this will include random breath and drug testing as part of a state-wide traffic operation.
“Enjoy the festive season, but don't allow alcohol or drugs to ruin that what should be an enjoyable time of the year.”
