HAWKESBURY Cricketers Stephen O’Keefe, Arjun Nair, Jordan Gauci and Josh Clarke all played for a victorious NSW Metro team in Cricket Australia’s Futures League from November 21 to 24.
NSW Metro won the toss in the match, and sent WA in to bat.
WA was bowled out for 188 in the first innings, with both O’Keefe and Nair claiming three wickets apiece.
With the bat, Clarke was run out for eight in the first innings, Jordan Gauci made 29 from 64 balls and O’Keefe made six from eight. Nair was not out on eight after 10 balls as NSW Metro made 248.
In the second innings, WA made a better go of it, totalling 248.
O’Keefe didn’t bowl in the second innings because he was called into the NSW team for its Sheffield Shield match, which started on November 24. Nair, however, did bowl again and claimed three wickets.
In their second innings, Clarke and Gauci both finished not out on 62 and 33 respectively as NSW Metro was 2-138, winning the match.
The next match begins on January 22.
