Money reader Scott Andrews has won the Shares Race after maintaining the lead throughout the four-week race with big contributions from European Cobalt, EHR Resources and Living Cell.
He finishes the race with his original $100,000 worth $133,582.
Angie Ellis of 80 20 Investments takes second place after trailing Andrews throughout the race with her portfolio worth $120,830.
Ellis has done well from Synlait Milk, Hub24, GetSwift and Praemium. Money Editor Caitlin Fitzsimmons finishes in third spot with Xero, BigUn and A2 Milk her best performers.
The S&P/ASX 200 index finished the week which, for the shares race, is the Thursday close, at about 5900 points or more than 1.5 per cent higher.
Over the four weeks, the market moved about 2.5 per cent higher.
European Cobalt is the best-performing pick of all during the four weeks with Andrews' original $10,000 growing to $21,591.
Cobalt is used, among other things, in batteries for electric cars. The company is exploring and developing cobalt mines in Slovakia and Finland.
Living Cell, which is also held by Andrews, is the second-best-performing stock with his original $10,000 in the company worth $17,778. The company develops cell therapies for neurodegenerative diseases.
Ellis' pick of Synlait Milk is the third-best performer overall with her original $10,000 worth $15,548.
BigUn, which is held by Fitzsimmons, is the fourth-best performer with her original $10,000 worth $14,967. The company provides video marketing services to businesses.
