Wilberforce Rural Fire Brigade volunteers attended a car fire at the Breakaway at Freemans Reach this morning.
The Gazette contacted Wilberforce Brigade but as the crew had not yet returned, they could not yet give a report, however the initial report from TNV Webcam which supplied the photos was that the driver had just had the car blue-slipped and re-registered a couple of months ago.
The photographer said he heard the driver was going fishing at the river but pulled over because the car was overheating. Next thing, flames were coming out from under the bonnet.
RFS personnel attended and extinguished the fire.
