Interested in Hawkesbury history? Come and enjoy a fabulous two-course dinner while listening to a cracking guest speaker at Kurrajong-Comleroy Historical Society’s Mid-Winter Dinner.
It could be said of Cathy McHardy that research is her middle name, and she will bring to you the fruits of that applied to the iconic historic buildings around Kurrajong Village.
Cathy will take you virtually around the village and bring to life the people and places of times long gone. Since she moved to the Hawkesbury in 1976 she has contributed numerous articles to local and family history journals, newspapers and magazines as well as publishing several books.
She was a librarian at Hawkesbury Library for many years, then joined the Archives, Research and Collections (ARC) team at Parramatta Heritage Centre as a research assistant three years ago, so she has the runs on the board to bring you a wealth of local knowledge.
The dinner will be held at The Village Kitchen (formerly Sassafras Creek) on Monday, July 24 at 6.30 for 7pm.
New owner Shane Madanowski (formerly of Kravings) and staff will serve a two-course dinner. Cost: KCHS member $35, visitor $40.
The Village Kitchen is fully licensed or BYO (corkage $7.)
