HAWKESBURY City’s first grade team has won its second game in a row, and moved to fourth position on the NPL 3 ladder.
On Saturday afternoon at Bensons Lane, City hosted the Balmain Tigers and emerged 2-1 victors over the cellar dwelling Tigers.
The round 16 win was the seventh of the season for City, which now has a 7-4-4 record, with a catch-up game still up its sleeve.
Santiago Pallares was again on the scoreboard for City, while James Mawein and Kosta Zarafetas also managed to get the ball into the back of the net during the match.
City will have its work cut out for itself in round 17 action, when the club travels takes on the first placed Fraser Park FC.
Fraser Park is undefeated so far this season, and along with the Rydalmere Lions is the team to beat.
City would be over the moon if it could steal a win against Fraser Park.
Kick-off this weekend will be at 7pm on Saturday.
