HAWKESBURY trainer Garry Frazer’s Go Benny took out the third win of the four-year-old gelding’s career at Newcastle on Thursday, June 22.
Go Benny started as a $4.60 favourite in the 2340-metre benchmark 65 at Newcastle.
Jockey Robert Thompson steered the gelding to the third win from 16 starts.
Hawkesbury jockey Tye Angland rode a winner in the next race.
Angland rode Steyne, trained by Randwick’s Peter and Paul Snowden, to victory in a 1350-metre class 2 handicap.
Steyne was a short-priced favourite, starting at $1.90.
