HAWKESBURY off-roader Mark-Paul Grant is looking forward to this weekend’s first round of the NSW Off-Road Racing Championship at Colo Motorsport Park.
Grant races in a V8 Ford powered Nissan Navara and has been in the off-road sport since a young age, navigating for his dad Paul Grant at the age of 12.
Grant spends many hours changing and adding parts to his Oz-Truck 416 to keep up with the other competitors.
When Grant is not working on his own race truck, he is helping his dad get his race truck ready for racing.
Grant has been racing at Colo Park since he began in the sport.
Colo Park off-road track co-ordinator Ian Irons said entry was free to this event, which ran on both Saturday and Sunday.
He said there would be a canteen open, as well as camping facilities for anyone interested in seeing the racing.
Irons said Colo Motorsport Park was 61-kilometres from Windsor Bridge, up the Putty Road, with plenty of signs to point you the right way.
