THE Western Sydney Wanderers will need to recover their Asian Champions League loss quickly, with a high pressure A-League match against Perth Glory awaiting them on Saturday night.
The Wanderers have experienced the highs and lows of football this past week, with a big win, a big loss and poor fan behaviour hanging over their heads.
On Saturday night, they stopped the previously unbeaten Sydney FC in a passion fueled Sydney derby, and followed that performance up with a 4-0 loss to the Urawa Red Diamonds in their opening Asian Champions League match.
Despite the joy of the Sydney FC victory, the Wanderers are sweating on a Football Federation Australia decision, which could see the club lose points because of poor fan behaviour.
At the match, fans hoisted a banner, with a blue face performing a sex act, something the FFA has looked upon with a dim attitude.
However, regardless of the decision, the Wanderers will need to be ready for the trip to NIB Stadium.
The Glory are in fifth place, and next on the sixth-placed Wanderers hit list.
The Wanderers have a relatively soft schedule following the Glory match, and a win could catapult them into serious finals contention.
In week 13, the Wanderers and Glory drew 1-1 and in round five, there was a 2-2 draw between the two squads.
