Our 1-1 draw against Brisbane Roar was our most positive performance of the season as we dominated from start to finish with only an error costing us the win.
We should have capitalised and scored a few more goals but we dominated the game both defensively and in attack and the fact their goalkeeper was in the points showed how much work he had to do.
The result wasn’t the win we were after but our overall play shows we’re doing a lot more than our results are giving us credit for at the moment.
While it’s frustrating to know we aren’t getting the results our performances deserve so far, as players we have 100 per cent belief that the results will drop for us soon.
If we were drawing every game and just hanging in there we would be worried but the fact we’re playing well is a really good sign.
This week against Central Coast Mariners we’re looking to take it all one step further, continue to progress and get the three points.
It doesn’t matter if we play Melbourne Victory, Sydney FC or the Mariners we look to play the same type of attacking football, stick to our game plan and score as many goals as possible.
Last season we scored a last-minute winner up in Gosford and I put that down to the RBB and the fans who travelled up there because in the small stadium up there our fans make it feel like we’re playing at Parramatta.
It’s huge for us and must be daunting for the Mariners to know the away fans make more noise than theirs.
