HAWKESBURY Cricket Club defeated both Parramatta and Penrith in the Kingsgrove Twenty-20 Cup on Sunday.
On a day where the club was raising funds for cancer charity Camp Quality, the team did not disappoint the home crowd.
Against Parramatta, the Hawks chased down the set total of 146 in 19 overs with six wickets in hand.
Josh Clarke made 58 from 34, including four maximums and five fours, while Dale McKay was unbeaten on 68, which was not as flamboyant as Clarke’s innings with just six boundaries from 54 balls to guide the Hawks to victory.
Against Penrith, the Hawks restricted their local rivals to just 126, and chased down that total with seven wickets to spare.
Aamir Jamal was the top scorer, making an unbeaten 56 from 35 balls.
Hawkesbury has one game left this season, which will be played on Sunday against Western Suburbs.
The Hawks are unbeaten and atop the Sydney Thunder conference after the weekend.
