RICHMOND Oval will be the site of dreams next week as Hawkesbury Rotary clubs host Dream Cricket.
Children with special needs from schools across the Hawkesbury will spend Wednesday, October 26 playing cricket at Richmond.
Phil Tuckerman from the Rotary Club of Richmond said this would be the third year of running the event, and this year the number of participants had swelled to 100.
“The last two years have been very successful and it is amazing to see how the children appreciate the day,” he said.
“The smiles on their faces when they catch a ball, hit a stump on a sticky wicket, hit stumps, throw a ball, join in with other children and helpers.”
Tuckerman said the schools involved this year were Hobartville, Richmond, St Monica’s, Bligh Park, Windsor Park, Kurmond, Arndell, Kyper Christian School, North Richmond.
Year 8 students from some of the schools will help on the day.
