COLO High School students Callie Cameron and Taylor Mattes said they wanted more time to complete their first HSC exam, however they felt they were off to a good start.
Students sat for their first written examination in English on Thursday, October 13.
Exams will run over a four-week period until on Friday, November 4.

NSW has a long-term trend of increasing numbers of students completing Year 12. This year, nearly 5,000 more students will sit HSC exams compared to five years ago; 69,350 students, the highest number on record, are on track to achieve the HSC credential.
Students will receive their results via email, SMS and online from 6am on Thursday, December 15.
