Gerogia Leva is passionate about involving herself in her local community, so much so that she would like to represent her area as Hawkesbury Showgirl 2017.
Miss Leva, 22, lives in Maraylya and is studying a Bachelor of Science (Zoology) at Western Sydney University.
She works part time as a children’s horse riding instructor and also works at Horseland Richmond.
Miss Leva said she entered Hawkesbury Showgirl to take on a new and different experience.
“I have lived in the Hawkesbury my whole life and entering the competition was always something that I wanted to do,” Miss Leva said.
“I am looking forward to the experience of meeting new people and making new friends.
“I am an outgoing person who is always looking to have fun and experience new things.”
Miss Leva said she felt it was important for the younger generation of children and young adults to become involved within their community and know what experiences and opportunities were out there.
“It is important for the Hawkesbury to have a showgirl who is encouraging our youth to become involved within the community of the Hawkesbury.
“With my agricultural knowledge and involvement as well as my equestrian background and studies at Western Sydney University I believe I possess many attributes that would be seen as ideal qualities of the Hawkesbury Showgirl.
“I am hoping to gain new friendships as well as new life experiences.”
