She has a passion for teaching and a love for her local community, now Rebecca Maxwell is keen to represent the Hawkesbury as the 2017 Showgirl.
Miss Maxwell, 19, lives in Yarramundi and completed her schooling at Richmond High.
She is currently studying bachelor of science with a pathways to teaching and said she hopes to make some good friends throughout her Showgirl experience.
“I entered the Hawkesbury Showgirl as I have been competing at Hawkesbury show for many years and thought that this year I would enter Showgirl so I could make some good friends and give back to my local community,” Miss Maxwell said.
“I believe I bring a fresh face to the showgirl competition as well as my many years of show experience, my bright and bubbly personality, my helpful nature and knowledge,” she said.
If she was to win the Showgirl competition, Miss Maxwell said she would you use the platform to better represent the Hawkesbury.
“If I were to win showgirl I would represent the Hawkesbury with the enthusiasm and pride that I have for not only our great show but also our wonderful community that I have grown up in. I would advocate that the Hawkesbury is the best place to be.”
“I am hoping that through the showgirl experience I am able to inspire others to achieve every goal that they set for themselves and to be proud of who they are and where they come from.”
