THERE was plenty of junior league finals action over the weekend, and plenty of Hawkesbury teams shared in the spoils.
In Penrith District Junior Rugby League, the under-17 Riverstone Razorbacks in second division claimed an eight point grand final victory.
The team won 18-10, defeating Emu Plains. Emu Plains were the minor premiers in that division, with the Razorbacks missing out on that honour only because of points differential.
Riverstone’s under-12s team in the third division also won a grand final, beating Emu Plains 18-10.
The under-19 Razorbacks also played in a grand final, but lost by four points to Cambridge Park.
The Windsor Wolves had a number of juniors teams either play in grand finals, or qualify for them at the weekend.
The Wolves fielded a winning team in the under-11s.
Their third division team had a six point win over Glenmore Park, with the final score reading 24-18.
Unfortunately, the Wolves had teams in the under-13, 14 and 15 division two grand finals but lost all of them.
In the under-13s, Lower Mountains won 18-16, in the under-14s it was Minchinbury winning 24-14 and in the under-15s it was again the Lower Mountains winning 24-10.
In some better news, the Wolves and St Marys will clash in both the under-14 and under-17 division one grand finals this weekend.
The under-17s will have the honour of playing at Pepper Stadium, the Panthers home ground, while the under-14s will be at home in Windsor.
