HE’S appeared on the cover of Australian Artist magazine, but it’s chiefly his glorious depiction of light for which he’s famous.
You can come and learn directly from Dario Falzon at the July meeting of Macquarie Towns Arts Society.
Dario will demonstrate a Yarramundi landscape in oils on Tuesday, July 12 at 7.30pm in the Stan Stevens Studio, Deerubbin Centre, Windsor.
Dario is mainly a landscape artist. He recently went to the 5th Annual Plein Air Convention and Expo (PACE2016) in Tucson Arizona, sponsored by Michael Harding Paints.
While there he was appointed faculty member, providing help and guidance at the daily paint outs and demonstrating techniques to an audience on the convention demonstration stage.
He was born in Bogota, Colombia in 1979 and came to Australia as a baby and was adopted by Australian parents.
He grew up in Western Sydney, mainly around the Hawkesbury area, joined a hip hop band, and went to the Julian Ashton art school.
“My favourite subjects to paint are scenes from around the Hawkesbury,” Dario said. “One of my favourite places is Yarraumundi Reserve. I will be demonstrating a scene from the southern lagoon side.”
Cost is $5 at the door, supper provided. Park outside the library precinct due to carpark early closure. All welcome.
