HAWKESBURY City has started its season the same way it did last season.
The club is winning mid-week FFA Cup matches but then falters in Football NSW’s NPL 3 competition.
The Hawks travelled to The Entrance last Wednesday and won against The Entrance Bateau Bay 5-0 in the FFA Cup, but then backed up against Dulwich Hill with a 3-1.
It has been the same story all season. The Hawks are yet to win an NPL 3 game, while they have three wins to their name in the FFA Cup.
The Hawks gave up three second half goals to Dulwich Hill, after Jason Browne gave the Hawks the lead in the 48th minute.
The Hawks had three cautions in the match, which could come back to haunt them later in the season.
The Hawks have been missing a number of players because of injury, and red cards have not helped their cause.
This week in the NPL 3, The Hawks will host Granville Rage on Saturday at 5pm.
