WINDSOR High School will be showcasing its facilities during an Open Day on Wednesday 17 February from 5:30pm to 7pm.
Everyone is welcome, from primary school-age children and their parents who are looking at future high school options, to current students and parents who would like to catch up what’s been happening in different departments of the school.
The Open Day will kick-off with a brief presentation by the school’s new principal, Mrs Jennifer Hawken, followed by small-group tours lead by students to various classrooms and specialist areas, where teachers and current students will provide short presentations.
“I have been continually surprised at the great things that are happening at Windsor High in the one term I have been principal here,” said Mrs Hawken.
“The school supports the academic students by offering a gifted and talented stream in smaller classes to support individual enrichment and differentiation.
“Likewise the Learning and Support team have created individual learning plans for students who have been identified to need further learning support, which are monitored and adjusted as required on a fortnightly basis.
“The teachers are dedicated and are actively participating in extensive professional learning to continually improve their already excellent practice”.
