Hawkesbury Cricket Club lost to Sutherland in all five grades at the weekdend, and tumbled down the Sydney Grace Cricket club championship ladder as a result.
The Hawks had been middle of the pack before the losses, but now find themselves near the bottom of the ladder on 273 points.
First grade lost to Sutherland by three wickets, after posting a respectable total on the first day of the two-day match.
The Hawks, who were without strike bowler Pat Lawrence, managed to claim the Sutherland openers cheaply on Saturday, November 28, but the middle order dug in.
Former Australian vice-captain Shane Watson made 54 at number three, and Mitch brown made 58 at number four.
But it was number six bat Ben Dwarshuis who proved the match winner, with an unbeaten 77 runs, to bring Sutherland over the top of Hawkesbury.
Spinner Arjun Nair, and fast bowler Shane Mott were called upon to do the heavy lifting in the field for Hawkesbury.
Nair claimed two wickets from his 24 overs, while Mott toiled away for 17 overs with no reward.
Sam Timbs, who replaced the injured Lawrence, stepped up to be the pick of the bowlers, with figures of 10-1-2-46.
The round six loss was the fifth straight match the first grade team has lost, after it won the opening round against Manly-Warringah.
In fifth grade, Benjamin Frame claimed a five wicket haul in a losing side.
On Saturday, the Hawks will start another two-day match, with all five grades to play Eastern Suburbs.
