GLOSSODIA has a local doctor for the first time in eight years.
Sunil Bhatia and his wife, Ira Swani, who will also be the practice’s accountant, expect to open their doors in December.
‘‘I’m feeling excited because I’ve wanted to be a rural GP for some time,’’ Dr Bhatia said.
‘‘It fits with my feeling about a doctor being part of the community.
‘‘I like to know my patients more than on a professional level, because I want to take a more holistic approach to their care.’’
Ms Swani said it would also be a welcome lifestyle change for them.
‘‘We’re looking forward to meeting everyone and being a part of the community,’’ she said.
‘‘It will also be a nice place to raise our kids.’’
