Defensive woes have cost the Windsor Wolves' Sydney Shield side for the past two weeks and coach Chris Boyd is keen to fix them.
The Wolves have lost their past two games, despite being in second place on the ladder, mostly because of defensive lapses.
Boyd said his team could score against the best the competition had to offer, but struggled at times to hold the line.
"It wasn't as bad a defensive effort as the week before, but we are just leaking a few points on the edge of the ruck," he said.
Boyd's team is mostly made up of 17 to 19 year olds, with a few old heads thrown in to steady the ship.
Boyd said the team would work on defense at training during the week to shore up the edges, and try to get back into the winning column when they host the Peninsula Seagulls this weekend.
Boyd's team was named on Tuesday, but it may change because a few players are under an injury cloud.
Nathan Cleary has been named at halfback, but his fitness will be assessed later in the week.
David Farkas, who has played a number of games in the halves for the team this year, was named at fullback, and is a possibility to move into the halves if Cleary pulls out.
