IT'S that time of the year: fishnet stockings become fashion-appropriate, furry boots are the must-have footwear and colourful arm candy is the signature accessory needed to top off the ultimate Defqon.1 music festival outfit.
Up to 25,000 people from Australia and the world, donned in self-styled dance wear, are expected to descend on the Sydney International Regatta Centre for the award-winning Defqon.1 music festival on Saturday, September 20.
More than 80 international and Australian music acts will perform their big synth beats, electro mixes and techno hits for hard dance enthusiasts across seven brightly coloured stages — Red, Blue, Black, White, Gold, Purple and Magenta.
Big names including Noisecontrollers, Wildstylez and Brennan Heart are among this year's headlining acts.
To add to the music, there will be helicopter and jet-ski rides around the island.
There will be a new swing ride which will send festival-goers flying over the water, as well as a slingshot for those looking for a thrill.
Camping is also available at the festival.
Festival attendees can bring their own tent or choose to have a tent set up.
The festival camping opens on Friday, September 19 with the Defqon.1 pre-party and closes on Sunday, September 21.
Camping tickets cost from $130.
Defqon.1 festival tickets are from $160.
