You have poured a bucket of iced water over your head, or watched a friend or 10 do it - but are you ready to do the same with a bucket of rocks and sand?
The Ice Bucket Challenge that has swept across social media and been embraced by celebrities and politicians has brought unprecedented exposure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Seizing on the campaign's success, Gazan student and activist Maysam Yusef proposed a sobering new challenge that forgoes icy water for something more readily available in war zones.
"I've been enjoying the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness on some muscle illness so that people can feel the extreme shiver resulted from severe contraction of the muscles," she wrote on Facebook on Friday.
"I wonder how to use the same technique to raise awareness on the war on Gaza. Maybe the Rubble Bucket Challenge where individuals pour a bucket of sand and gravel to give a sense of how it is like when your house is bombed with you inside!"
 
Unlike the Ice Bucket Challenge, the Palestinian version does not require the nominated person to donate money, only to spread awareness about the conflict.
Latest figures suggest about 2000 Palestinians and 70 Israelis have died since fighting broke out in early July. Since a ceasefire collapsed a week ago, more than 650 Palestianian rockets have landed in Israeli territory and Israel has launched more than 350 air strikes on the Gaza Strip.
However, in a promising sign for peace, the Palestinians have reached agreement with Israel on a "permanent" ceasefire for the Gaza Strip, a senior official said on Tuesday.

The #rubblebucketchallenge is already gaining steam, with videos of people tipping sand and gravel over their heads starting to flood a Facebook page set up for the campaign. Last year's Arab idol winner Mohammed Assaf posted his video on Monday.
 
Palestinian journalist Ayman al-Aloul also uploaded his challenge video to YouTube on Saturday, explaining why they had chosen rubble to fill the bucket.
"We looked for a bucket of water, however, the use of water is more important than to empty over our heads," he said. "And even if water is available it is difficult to freeze it."
"When we tried to make the Palestinian version we looked around us we find the place as you see [destroyed buildings]," he said in the video.
"We do not ask for material aid. We ask for solidarity positions, especially from those who have followers and audience. We need these positions."
