Four Richmond cafes are banding together to help the homeless and those at risk tomorrow, Friday, August 8.
Kezza’s Kafe, Crazies Golden Bell Cafe, Keep It Short and Sweet and Stock Bar & Grill, will donate $1 per coffee sold to help fund local projects as part of Cafe Smart.
Kezza from Kezza’s Kafe said there has been a ‘‘massive contribution from local businesses’’ to help support the one day event organised through Street Smart.
She told the Gazette, Bakers Delight Richmond, Coles Richmond, Richmond Fruit Market and Richmond Florist have made in-kind donations.
The businesses have supplied products for cupcake making, flowers for decoration and sweet tasting goodies that will be sold from 8am to 4pm at the participating cafes.
Last year Cafe Smart raised more than $87,000 for action against homelessness across Australia.
