There are three hot spots for lovers of browsing and hobby activities this weekend across the Hawkesbury — the 2014 Hawkesbury Model & Hobby Show at Clarendon, the East Kurrajong Trash and Treasure Sale and the CWA Kurrajong Book Sale.
The huge annual Model and Hobby Show at Hawkesbury Showground is on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6 from 9am to 4pm.
Salivate over models, collectables, art and craft, historical displays and classic vehicles, while the kids can feel tall as a giraffe on the double decker bus rides.
Refreshments will be available. Admission: adults $10, child/concession $5, family $25. The show’s proceeds will support Riding for the Disabled NSW Tall Timbers Centre, Henry Doubleday Research Association, Cystic Fibrosis NSW and St John Ambulance (Hawkesbury City). For more go to www.hmhs.org.au or ring 0413 306 497.
East Kurrajong School of Arts’ much-loved Trash and Treasure Sale is only on Saturday, July 5, from 7.30am-2pm at 1090 East Kurrajong Road. Browse the treasures, bag a bargain and go in the raffle for a load of firewood, sponsored by Lindsay Brown Fencing & Firewood. Come in time for lunch, with sausage or bacon and egg rolls, home-made soup, cakes and slices and hot and cold drinks.
For more contact Ann on 4576 5031 or Robyn on 4576 3335.
