THE seat of Riverstone has been left without a Liberal candidate for next year’s state election, after sitting MP Kevin Conolly was disendorsed at pre-selection on Monday night.
The vote was 14-3.
Jess Diaz, father of failed federal Greenway candidate Jaymes Diaz, nominated against Mr Conolly in February as another Liberal candidate.
However, the Blacktown councillor decided to withdraw from pre-selection.
The lack of endorsement and no remaining Liberal candidate for Riverstone means pre-selection nominations may be reopened.
