Plenty to do this Easter

■ RG McGees has a Karaoke night tonight, April 17 so come and celebrate the start of your Easter break from 9.30pm with host Rickie Lee. 

■ Pop in and  learn more about Pre-historic craft at Hawkesbury Central Library, Windsor this Saturday. Drop in from 9am and step through the cave to discover a world before books. Learn about cave drawing and leave your mark on our cave wall to collect your passport sticker. Contact the Library on 45604460.

■ Windsor RSL has a great show this Saturday, April 19 when siblings Audio Vixen put on a breathtaking Bee Gees, Everly Bros and Corrs tribute show. Tickets are $25 or $15 members. Phone 4587 6900.

■ For those under 30, DJ Mixen Vixen and others will mix it up on a boat party cruise on Hawkesbury River on Saturday, April 19. Tickets are available on 0412 133 360.

■ Come and see ‘From Underwear to Hardware’ this Saturday at Windsor Museum about the iconic Horderns Department Store on the corner of George and Fitzgerald streets, Windsor from 1962 to 1998. Ledgers, display cases, mannequins, signs, cash registers, and a cash carrying system. Contact the museum on 45604655.

■ This Easter Sunday, April 20, rock on into The Australian Hotel at McGraths Hill and enjoy a breath of fresh OxyGen, playing from 3pm to 7 pm for your entertainment. Enjoy hits from Coldplay, Matchbox 20 to U2. Bistro open for lunch and until 6pm for dinner.

■ Enjoy a day out at the Macdonald Valley Public School Easter Markets this Easter Sunday in the rural Macdonald Valley at The Barn in St Albans Village from 10am-4pm. Works from artists and artisans, home grown produce, collectables, jumping castle, face painting, lunch, tea, coffee, homemade cakes and slices at the P&C-run Cafe. Stalls  $25, bring your own tables. Call 4568 2034. And the following weekend there’s the St Albans Folk Festival, April 24-27.

■ Garden lovers - Bisley on Mount Irvine Road at Mount Wilson is this weekend’s Open Garden, April 19-20: It’s open 10am-4.30pm. Entry is $7-$10. No charge for children. For more go to www.opengarden.org.au

■ Either side of Easter you can get the kids into Macquarie Towns Arts Society’s School Holiday Art and Craft workshops for children aged 5 to 15 in Richmond. Landscape painting, pottery, cartooning, drawing dinosaurs, teddies, toys, bugs and butterflies, and making treasure boxes. Classes are either 10am-12pm or 1-3pm and cost $14 per child.
