A police operation is underway after a child was reported missing in the Blue Mountains.
Police received the report about 8.20am today (Friday 14 January 2022), that a nine-year-old girl had been missing from a property at Mt Wilson, 60km north-west of Richmond, since Thursday, January 13, 2022.
Charlise Mutten, aged nine, is described as being of Caucasian appearance, thin with brown hair.
It is believed she was last seen wearing a pink top with a round neck collar, a black knee-length skirt and pink Nike thongs.
A command post has been established at the Mt Wilson Rural Fire Service Station with members from the RFS and SES assisting police from the Blue Mountains Police Area Command, Police Rescue, the Dog Unit, and PolAir.
The search continued overnight and is ongoing today, with more than 100 personnel involved in the search.
