Hawkesbury Council and Peppercorn are calling on generous locals to help make this Christmas a little brighter for those in need.
For this year's Christmas appeal residents are asked to donate unwrapped presents for males between the ages of three and 17 years and females between the ages of six and 16 years.
Peppercorn Flood Recovery Support Service has a team of recovery support workers who have been helping residents across the Hawkesbury recover from the impact of the March floods.
The work has been supported by Resilience NSW and the Federal Government.
The gift donations will provide some relief and support to flood-affected residents as they continue their recovery journey over the Christmas period.
Gift ideas may include board games, card games, outdoor games, sport equipment, tool kits or gift vouchers from local shops that offer items such as books, clothes, lollies, stationery or sporting goods.
Gifts can be dropped off at the following venues until December 17:
- Council's administration building: 366 George Street, Windsor;
- Hawkesbury Central Library: 300 George Street, Windsor;
- Peppercorn Place: 320 George Street, Windsor; and
- Hawkesbury Leisure and Learning Centre: 114 March Street, Richmond.
