Royals claim basketball title at Hawkesbury Stadium

After months of a forced hiatus from the court, the under 16s ladies of Hills-based basketball club, the Homegrown Royals, recently proved they hadn't lost any of their skills.

The squad were one of four sides to take part in the Joflow Basketball League tournament at Hawkesbury Stadium on November 13 and 14.

Over the weekend the Royals played six games, taking on choice opposition from around the region.

In their final game, they claimed the championship title, defeating a G5 squad 45 points to 25.

The team comprised Abbey Houseman, Abbey Vallance, Isabella De Jesus, Jennifer Mailei Jolzyne Impreso, Leah Fowler, Porscha Parades, Reese Nunez, Ryanna Roman and Whitney Matalavea. They were coached by Tony Montano, assisted by Jolly Impreso.
