Pitt Town celebrant Shaun Gagan has a message for those resuming their wedding planning ... lock in your vendors now, because demand is set to be high.
While he didn't officially shut down his business during lockdown - "I was doing some funerals" - it has seemed an eternity since he greeted a couple at the altar.
So how did it feel to conduct the first ceremony back?
"It was amazing," he said. "Finally getting to see couples get married, some after their third postponement. It is great to feel the love in the air again."
Mr Gagan said that couples all seemed to be saying the same thing: "we have been waiting for this for so long".
Since NSW couples were able to get out and about again Mr Gagan said he had noticed a slight shift in proceedings, noting an "increase in couples wanting to have 'legal only' weddings with limited guests".
"They are planning to have a commitment ceremony and reception-party next year," he said.
