A man aged in his late 80s was rescued from a Cattai property after falling from a tractor yesterday (Sunday, October 24) afternoon and sustaining multiple limb and suspected pelvic injuries.

The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked shortly after 4:30pm and landed 15 minutes later in the grounds of the Cattai property.

NSW Ambulance paramedics were on the scene, providing initial treatment for the man.

CareFlight's specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic conducted a clinical assessment on the patient. They carried out an ultrasound and administered pain relief.

The man was airlifted by CareFlight in a stable condition to Westmead Hospital. The medical team provided ongoing observation for the man throughout the journey.
