With the next school holidays just around the corner now is the time to start planning events to keep the kids busy.
For those needing a few ideas, Windsor's Regional Gallery and Hawkesbury Central Library have a packed program of activities, ranging from arts and crafts through to sustainability and reading.

Guide Dog Experience
Monday, June 28, from 10.30am to 11.30am at Hawkesbury Central Library. Meet some of the guide dogs that are training at the Glossodia centre. Learn about their journey from cute puppy to working companion.
Sunset Dolphins - Watercolour Art
Wednesday, June 30, from 10am to noon at Hawkesbury Regional Gallery. Create a scenie sunset with silhouettes of dolphins.
Keepsake Journal
Wednesday, June 30, from 2pm to 3.30pm at Hawkesbury Central Library. re-purpose an old book into a journal to fill with treasures, artwork and other memories. For children aged eight and over.
Horsehair Days - Pastels Art
Thursday, July 1, from 10am to noon at Hawkesbury Regional Gallery. Use chalk pastels to create a colourful horse portrait with a wild flowing mane of hair.
Classic Movies
Friday, July 2 and Friday, July 9, from 2pm to 3.30pm at Hawkesbury Central Library. Relax and re-watch some classic animate films. Bring your own snacks and drinks. Check eventbrite or call the library for the titles that will be screening.
Recycled Creations
Tuesday, July 6, from 10am to noon at Hawkesbury Central Library. Re-use old boxes, containers, lids, paper and other materials with a little imagination to build fantastic creations that move. For ages five and over.
Gold Still Life - Paint and Gold Foil
Thursday, July 8, from 2pm to 3.30pm at Hawkesbury Regional Gallery. Use acrylic paints and gold foil to create a stunning shimmery still-life of pears.
Paper Planes
Thursday, July 8, from 2pm to 3.30pm at Hawkesbury Central Library. Re-cycle A4 paper into flying machines. Learn how to make different designs, then launch them to see which one flies the best. For those aged eight and over.
Happy Feet - 3D Penguin Sculpture
Friday, July 9, from 10am to noon at Hawkesbury Regional Gallery. Learn the art of 3D paper sculpting as you creatre 3D penguins. For those aged eight and over.
