Who doesn't love baby animals? Children and adults alike are sure to flock to the Animal Nursery at the Hawkesbury Show this year, being hosted for the first time by Dural's Golden Ridge Animal Farm.
Business owner Alisa Nye said the Animal Nursery - sponsored by First National Real Estate Windsor and Richmond - was going to be a "very visual display" where visitors can interact with the animals.
"There will be ducklings, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, all your farmyard favourite baby animals," she told the Gazette.
"And there will be a larger patting pen where kids can go in with the baby goats and chickens, walk around, and pat, feed and brush them.
"We're also going to have our pet deers, Millie and Mip, at the show. They are the fallow breed and look like Bambi."
Golden Ridge Animal Farm has provided the Animal Nursery at the Sydney Royal Easter Show for the past 11 years, and is excited to be bringing its brand to the Hawkesbury.
"There will be something for everyone over the three days of the Show," said Ms Nye.
Golden Ridge Animal Farm is open to the public, and is all about "teaching children how to handle animals, how to look after them, and giving them - everyone, not just kids - the chance to interact with animals that they would love to but can't normally."
"Grown adults visit us who have always wanted to have a pet goat but can't, and they can sit down and pat and feed and interact with our animals," said Ms Nye.
