Versatile performer Danny Elliott will bring his Strung Up and Blown Away variety show to Panthers North Richmond on Monday, April 19.

Elliott plays more than a dozen musical instruments, sings and even tap dances.

It's little wonder he was regarded one of the most sought-after entertainers on the cruise ship market, where standing ovations are the order of the day (or night) for the excited passengers.

On his first international contract, Elliott was signed to play aboard the world-famous cruise liner, the QEII.

Known for its cultured, demanding guests, Elliott's unique ability to play multiple instruments in a single show won over the crowds and earned him glowing reviews from the ship's entertainment director.

Other highlights of his career thus far include supporting a host of industry legends, including Dame Shirley Bassey, The Supremes, The Ten Tenors, Marina Prior and the Tommy Tycho Orchestra.

He was also the recipient of a MO Award for Performer of the Year, and nominated the same year the title was claimed by Hugh Jackman.

Joining Elliott for Strung Up and Blown Away is delightful vocalist Sharna Le-Grand, who will perform in her own right, as well as returning for several show-stopping duets.

A highlight of the show is a special tribute to Peter Allen and Judy Garland, where the pair combine to perform Quiet Please/Somewhere Over The Rainbow, a moving arrangement crafted by Elliott.

Whether playing classics or swing on instruments like the piano, flute, clarinet and saxophone; a little country on guitar, banjo, fiddle and harmonica; or even something a little stirring on the didgeridoo, pan flute or Irish penny whistle ... Elliott will impress.

Tickets for the show cost $25 per person and lunch will be included. They must be booked via the club by April 14.

The show will start at 11am.
