THE Richmond Travel Club is once again inviting the community to join them on a luxury coach tour to Queensland to raise money for the Back to Bilpin campaign.
The tour was meant to take place last June but was postponed due to Covid-19.
"Everyone has forgotten about the devastating bushfires that ruined many people's lives in the Bilpin area, some are still struggling," said Peter Minigle of MMM Tours and the Richmond Travel Club.
"The Outback tour means that we can do a little bit to support these people with every cent after running costs to be donated to the Back to Bilpin group.
"The tour is called the Outback to Outback and is from Richmond to Longreach, then Longreach to the Gold Coast and back to Richmond.
"The more we have on the tour the more money we will raise."
The cost of the tour is $2,100 per person twin share and includes everything except lunches.
"In 2018, on a much smaller scale, we raised with a tour $2,500 to the Drought Relief, this time we are hoping to do five times better with a full coach," said Mr Minigle.
The 10-day tour begins on April 9. Attractions included in the tour are Qantas Museum, the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame, cruising the Thompson River, and the Australian Outback Spectacular show.
The Richmond Travel Club will meet next in April at Richmond Club in Richmond.
