Carlisle gives a good reason to go-go to Sydney Coliseum Theatre

Adding meaning to the notion that good things are worth the wait, 80s pop icon Belinda Carlisle will bring her Decades tour to Sydney Coliseum Theatre at Rooty Hill on February 18, 2022.

The show will serve as a celebration of the Grammy award nominated singer and best-selling author's career, which spans 35 years.

.Carlisle first tasted fame as the lead vocalist of all-female group The Go-Gos. They made history as the first all-female group to write their own songs and play their own instruments to top the Billboard charts.

As a member of The Go-Gos, Carlisle sold more than seven million albums, with such hits as Our Lips Are Sealed, We Got The Beat, Can't Stop The World and Head Over Heels.

After the band's break-up Carlisle embarked on a successful solo career that spawned the massive hits Mad About You, I Get Weak and Heaven Is A Place On Earth from the worldwide chart-topping album Heaven On Earth.

The album hit number one on both the US and UK charts.

The hits kept coming with the release of her 1989 album Runaway Horse, which included the singles Leave A Light On and Summer Rain.

Other hits have followed, including the number one track In Too Deep, proving her longevity in the global pop music scene.

Tickets for the show go on sale Monday, March 1, from Ticketek [ticketek.com.au]
