It's a new year, new look for fitness at the Hawkesbury Oasis with a suite of recent upgrades ready to take members' workouts to the next level.
The gym layout has been revamped completely offering an improved fitness experience to the Hawkesbury community in 2021.
Y NSW centre manager Stacey Kenny is encouraging all members and those thinking about signing up to a gym this year to make themselves a priority.
"We all juggle so much in our lives and the pandemic has really put a lot of stress and strain on a lot of people in our great community," Ms Kenny said.
"It's never been more important to prioritise your physical and mental health. Wellness has a ripple effect through families and communities. We can take the best care of others when we take care of ourselves.
"The Y and Hawkesbury City Council want everyone in the Hawkesbury to inspire each other through self-care this year and we have everything right here to help get you started."
Hawkesbury City Council funded the significant upgrades in alignment with their strategic objective to promote a healthy community.
The gym now features a functional rig in the centre of the room for a better training experience.
The new and improved layout also responds to COVID-19 capacity restrictions, with more members now able to utilise the space for small-group training, which has become popular. A new fitness consultation office has been installed, allowing one-on-one sessions with members.
The office features a Tanita body composition scanner to ensure members are receiving personalised advice and a tailored plan to achieve their goals as efficiently and effectively as possible.
New Techno gym cardio equipment, Alpha Fit strength equipment and upgraded Les Mills smart bars and smart steps have also been purchased to ensure members are benefiting from the latest advancements in fitness at Hawkesbury Oasis.
You will find Hawkesbury Oasis at the corner of Church and Drummond Streets, South Windsor. For details go to www.ymcansw.org.au/centres/hawkesbury-oasis.
