NSW has again recorded no new locally acquired cases of COVID-19, for the eighth day in a row.
Three new cases were reported among overseas travellers in the 24 hours to 8pm Sunday.
This brings the total number of coronavirus cases recorded in NSW since the start of the pandemic to 4901.
In the 24 hours to Sunday night, 8689 test results were reported, down from 11,344 the previous day.
"Low testing numbers remain a concern, and we strongly urge people across the state to come forward for testing, with even the mildest of symptoms," deputy chief health officer Dr Jeremy McAnulty said.
Enhanced screening was introduced at Sydney Airport on Sunday, after a probable COVID-19 case was detected in New Zealand.
A person who arrived in New Zealand from overseas and completed their 14 days of quarantine later developed symptoms and tested positive for COVID-19.
Recent arrivals from New Zealand into Australia are alerted to venues of concern, which are listed on the New Zealand health department website.
People who arrived in NSW from New Zealand between Thursday, January 14 and Sunday, January 24 are asked to check these venues, follow associated advice if they have visited any, and isolate and undergo testing if they develop any symptoms.
NSW Health is treating 75 people for COVID-19, most of which are in non-acute, out-of-hospital care.
No one is in intensive care.
