An emergency warning for a bushfire in WA's Wheatbelt region has been downgraded to watch and act, while another blaze that threatened lives in Perth's eastern foothills has been contained.
An emergency alert was in place earlier on Friday for parts of Daliak and St Ronans in the Shire of York, about 96km east of Perth.
Residents were warned they were in danger and needed to act immediately to survive, with homes on the Great Southern Highway and Ashworth Road under threat.
Around 150 firefighters were battling the blaze and aerial support had been sent to assist them.
At about 6.30pm WA time on Friday the Department of Fire and Emergency Services downgraded the emergency warning to watch and act for parts of Daliak, St Ronans, Wilberforce and Inkpen in the shire of York.
It said the fire was not contained or controlled and there was still "a possible threat tro lives and homes" as the fire approached and conditions changed.
Firefighters earlier on Friday contained a separate blaze in High Wycombe and Hazelmere, near the Perth Hills.
An emergency warning was downgraded to an advice message, with motorists asked to reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke.
