Member for Greenway Michelle Rowland visited Vineyard Public School recently to see its Breakfast Club in action.
The Breakfast Club welcomes donations from the community - including napkins, paper towels and aluminium foil - and Ms Rowland donated a stack of reusable bowls, plates and cutlery.
"So many of us take breakfast club for granted, but the awesome staff at Vineyard Public School are going above and beyond with their Breakfast Club each morning to ensure local students are learning on a full stomach," Ms Rowland said via Facebook.
"The Breakfast Club is supported by local resident and community organisations, including Foodbank NSW and ACT, and Riverstone RSL Sub Branch."
Vineyard Principal Bronwyn Smith thanked Ms Rowland for her "generous donation".
"Our students were very excited to receive the donation and continue to enjoy breakfast every morning," Ms Smith said.
"It has made a huge difference in their wellbeing, and creates a wonderful vibe to start the day, both for the students and for our staff. We love it!"
The Breakfast Program is managed by School Learning Support Officers Mrs Spencer and Miss Jo.
