The winners of this year's Design-An-Ad competition collected their prize money and certificates during a presentation at the Gazette's North Richmond base on Monday.
The first placegetters in the primary and high school divisions each won $700 for themselves and $1000 for their schools.
Third place in each division received $200, while the third placegetters received $100.
Major sponsor, Windsor RSL, provided the prizes.
Taking out the high school division was Amelia Ashley, 17, from Richmond High School for her detailed piece for The Watchmaker Windsor.
While clearly quite artistic, it's not necessarily something she'll make a post high school vocation.
"I'm striving for an environmental career as it's something I've been quite passionate about for years, but as long as I am content with what I have and have a smile on my face, I'll be happy with anything," she said.
Second place went to Harini Pancholi, 13, from Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School (Image Carpets and Blinds), while third place was won by Jesse Brohier, 15, Richmond High School (Hawkesbury Race Club).
Taking out the primary school category was Evelyn Hupalo, 11, from Hobartville Public School for her Windsor Toyota advertisement.
When asked how she would spend her winnings, she said: "Initially it was the possibility of using the money to help see family overseas".
In second place was Matilda Hunt, 12, Wilberforce Public School (One Giant Leap Australia Foundation), while Finley Adam, 11, Hobartville Public School (Yoga Bare) claimed third place.
Gazette sales representative Scott Williams commended all of the students for their efforts.
"As always, the quality of the entries was incredible," he said. "We have some talented young artists in the Hawkesbury."
