Hawkesbury Race Club is gearing up to play host its annual post Melbourne Cup celebration, the Lander Toyota Ladies Day event on Thursday, November 5.
Club CEO Ken Rutherford said that it is one of the club's biggest events of the year.
"We are very excited for the day," he said. "It is Oaks day down at Flemington, which is apart of Cup Week in Melbourne.
"To be able to race on the same day as the Oaks is great and will really bring out the importance of ladies day for us."
Ken said that he is happy to see the event go ahead after a very different and difficult year of racing due to COVID-19.
"Like most events we've had decrease attendance and make sure we are COVID safe," he said.
"We are still doing our best to make sure that the day is enjoyable for everyone, while keeping all of the attendees safe."
Ken said the day is really about the occasion and putting on something for the ladies and community.
"It's been a difficult year for us all and to be able to enjoy an event like this, as a community in the Hawkesbury is what it's about," he said.
"It's great that the ladies can get out their finery, have a good day at the races and a bit of champagne to go with it."
Hawkesbury Race Club thank Ladies Day major sponsor Lander Toyota for their support.
Ladies Day will get underway from 11am on Thursday at Hawkesbury Race Club. Fashions on the Field will be showcased at 3pm, with eight races set to run throughout the day.
