Hawkesbury Police Area Command has taken legal action after officers witnessed a member of the community doing a burnout.
Hawkesbury Proactive Crime Team officers were patrolling in the vicinity of the Richmond business district just after 8pm on Saturday, October 10, when they witnessed the driver of a Ford Falcon doing a burnout on March Street.
The driver performed the burnout in the vicinity of a police patrol in the Richmond business district.
Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke with the 39-year-old male driver who they said was from Hobartville.
The male was issued with a Traffic Infringement Notice for the offence of 'Operate Vehicle to Cause Driving Wheel(s) to Undergo Sustained Loss of Traction' which is a $697 fine.
