$32 million upgrade completed at Schofields Public School

A $32 million upgrade at Schofields Public School is now complete, with students and staff settling into the new facilities in time for the start of Term 4.

The project has delivered 27 new classrooms, including three special education classrooms, and upgraded facilities including a new library, new staff/administration areas, amenities and a new covered outdoor learning area (COLA).

Federal Member for Riverstone Kevin Conolly said he was thrilled the upgrade was complete.

"We want school students in NSW to have the very best education, and providing high-quality school facilities like these is a key part of that," he said.

"These great new facilities will benefit the local community for generations to come."

The library and all classrooms are air-conditioned, in line with the NSW Government policy of providing air-conditioning to new schools and installing air-conditioning in classrooms of about 900 existing schools over five years through the Cooler Classrooms program.

Mr Conolly said he was proud the NSW Government had delivered such a significant project for the local community.

"I know the students, parents and teachers will be very excited to see the wonderful new facilities," he said.
