Finalists of the 2020 Altitude Awards have been presented with their certificates, that recognise an individual's outstanding work in business, by Federal Macquarie MP Susan Templeman.
Business networking groups Women with Altitude and the Men's Altitude Network present the awards each year to recognise the achievements of everyday people across a range of sectors, including small business, social enterprise, individual achievement and contribution to the community.
"Normally, members would come together every month to connect, talk about their challenges and support each other," Ms Templeman said.
"Not only is the pandemic creating bigger challenges for businesses, but it's making the usual face to face awards celebrations more difficult too.
"Women With Altitude founder, Andrea Turner-Boys, found a CovidSafe way to recognise the finalists, by holding several smaller gatherings, and I was really pleased to be able to be in Windsor to present finalists with certificates."
Ms Templeman sponsored the Soaring Micro Award category, and presented finalist certificates to Mel Leenman from The Hawkesbury Lifestyle and Elise Maunder from Elise Lola Design on the day.
"Being a finalist in this year's awards is no mean feat; there were between 35 and 40 entries in every category," Ms Templeman said.
"Even just the review process that people undertake to enter the awards has an impact, as it helps people actually realise how far they have come in their business.
"Congratulations to all the finalists, and hopefully we will be able to come together for the Altitude Ball in November."
